Situated in the heart of Bolivia, the National Park and Indian Reservation Isiboro Secure (TIPNIS) holds untouched some of the most amazing rivers of the world.


Tsimane's operational area is about 125 miles (200km) from the Capital City La Paz and 270 miles (470 km) from Santa Cruz de la sierra our operation's base point and the most important city in the Country.

There are many options to arrive to Santa Cruz which's International Airport receives Daily flights from Miami (American Airlines), San Pablo (Tam, Gol and Boliviana), Buenos Aires (Aerolineas Argentinas and Boliviana), Panama (Copa) and Lima (Taca) and therefore a quite direct connection to all of the main Airports of the world.

Tismane area


The National Park and Indigenous Territory is located in the departments of Beni and Cochabamba. It is part of the Vilcabamba - Amboró Conservation Corridor, in the Sub-Andean strip of the tropical Andes between Peru and Bolivia. The climate is humid and the area's geography is characterized by a mountain range to the west giving way to large floodplains to the east. The most important rivers are the Isiboro and the Sécure,tributaries of the Mamoré, which belongs to the Amazon basin. The protected area is also an Indigenous Territory, property of the Chimán, Yuracaré,
and Moxeño ethnic groups.

The operation is located on north-west side of this magnificent park. An area that's reachable Only by air or by boat, actually a ten days trip from the city of Trinidad that can be done only in the high water season.

Every year a massive run of many species of fish from the huge Mamore River occurs, a migration that can only be matched to the never ending runs from Alaska but has a bigger resemblance with the African migrations of Gnus and Lions. Dorados and other fish eating species follow these impressive schools that literary change the color of the water. To spawn several months later all together in the same places and right from their birth war starts again and a few hours from spawning Dorado's alevins start eating their Sabalo counterparts.
